This film is based on a story of true elephant. Elephant Lin Wang and his little master lived in Sino-Burmese border area. During the WWII, he was captured and slaved by the Japanese army. Luckily, the Chinese expeditionary Force rescued him. He began to serve in the army. Lin Wang overcame his tininess, and became a hero during the anti-Japanese war. In 1947, Lin Wang was transferred from Guangzhou to Taiwan. He died when he was 83 years old. In Taiwan, he is the super star. Local residents liked him, and built a memorial museum for him.
