Lake Baiyangdian has undergone many changes over the years. No change will be greater than that of the development of Xiongan, a new city right by the lake which strives to become an ecological beacon for Northern China. Xiongan aims to place the region at the forefront of ecological protection, suggesting how sustainable design can aim restore the state of the Lake.
