Guangzhou TV Station and Guangzhou Radio began broadcasting in 1988 and 1991 respectively. The two entities were restructured and merged into Guangzhou Broadcasting Network (GZBN) in 2010, which operates Guangzhou Broadcasting Network Media Group Co., Ltd., China Broadcasting Guangzhou Network Ltd. (Stock code: 871828) and other institutions. Pioneered in the innovation of Production-Learning-Research-Application system, GZBN in the new era has become a new media matrix. It became the first television station to achieve ultra high definition and high definition broadcasting across all platforms, specializing in HD/4K UHD video production, resources and copy right development. GZBN has been producing a rich variety of high-quality 4K UHD premium production, with diversified portfolio ranging from films, documentaries to radio dramas, two of which have successively won the “Golden Rooster Awards” and other national or provincial awards.
