Due to the steep drop in height of its torrential rivers and dense river network, Guizhou boasts a unique landscape of canyons and waterfalls.Guizhou features a typical karst landform with a wide distribution and a full range of types. The province has four distinct landforms: plateau, mountain, hill, and basin, with mountains and hills accounting for 92.5 percent of its total land area.Guizhou is a popular tourist destination, boasting four World Natural Heritage sites, nine 5A national tourist attractions, and renowned tourist attractions such as the Xijiang Miao Villages and Wanfenglin (Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks).
