Company Profile:
Su Opera was selected as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2006. The troupe has created and arranged large-scale modern plays such as ‘Guo Ding Hun’ (Soul of National Tripod Cauldrons)’, ‘Taihu Ren Jia’, and ‘Xiu Niang (Embroiderers)’. In 2019, ‘Guo Ding Hun’ won the 16th Chinese Culture and Art Government Award – Wenhua Award. The troupe promotes no less than 120 performances annually, gradually increasing its social influence, steadily advancing its development, and achieving initial results in talent development. In 2023, it was rated as a first-class troupe in Jiangsu Province.
