Fujian Film Studio Co., Ltd., formerly known as Fujian Film Studio, was founded in 1958 and became one of China’s sixteen major feature film producers in the 1980s. Over the past six decades, the studio has produced landmark works such as Annals of a Provincial Town—the first color feature film made in Fujian, and The Holy Robe of Shaolin Temple—China’s first co-produced feature film, as well as acclaimed titles including Blood Reincarnation, The Bugle from Gutian, Island Keeper, The Road, Gallant Heroes, Yin-Yang World, and Love on Gallery Bridge. Its productions have received numerous national honors, including the Huabiao Film Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, Hundred Flowers Awards, Flying Apsaras Awards, and the Best Works Award, solidifying its reputation as one of China’s most enduring and influential film studios.
