Project Description

A Poem to grandpa

Length: 1224

Director: Lily Pan

Grandfather, who is far away in Myanmar, talks with his granddaughter every day. As a relative of the deaf, she knows the difficulties of hearing impaired groups. Professor Zheng Xuan, who is engaged in sign language research and hearing impaired education, is a person who travels between the listening world and the silent world. She shared her personal growth experience and work life with LILY, and introduced the Chinese Sign Language Department, which she edited. In the process of experiencing sign language and communicating with the hearing-impaired, LILY felt the charm and value of sign language as a language, felt the beauty of Chinese culture, and hoped to bring this beauty to her grandfather.
