Shanghai New Culture Film Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary to Shanghai New Culture Media Group Co., Limited. Shanghai New Culture Media Group Co., Limited (the “NCG”) was founded in 2004. Being the first listed television and film production company in Shanghai, NCG focuses on TV series, movies, and other diverse content and strengthens the development of high-quality IPs such as Stephen Chow properties and game franchises from Softstar. It utilizes content production and integration with other media platforms to promote its continued growth.
In recent years, NCG has invested in films such as “Saving Mr.Wu”, “Skiptrace”, “Mermaid”, “ Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back”, “The New King of Comedy”, etc. Programs underway include “Xuanyuan Sword” supervised by Bill Kong and “Richman” based on Softstar’s game franchise.
