	In 1980s’ northern China, a father saves a dying little donkey and takes him home, of whom his two sons take very good care like the third brother of theirs. Yet as the donkey grows up and needs more water to quench himself in this dry village that is under constant threat of drought, villagers start to resent him as the situation deteriorates. To keep the donkey in the village, two brothers and their friends unfold a touching tug of wars with villagers and even their father. 故事发生在上世纪八十年代的中国北方山区，父亲捡回来一头奄奄一息的幼驴，两兄弟从小与驴相伴，感情深厚。无奈山村少雨缺水，因而出现了人与驴争水的局面，两兄弟的父亲以及村民们欲将这头名叫桑丘的驴子送到山下去。为了留住桑丘，两兄弟及其小伙伴与村民及自己的父亲展开了一场奇特的夺驴“之战”。
