Beijing Dragon Fly Film Production Co., Ltd. (BDF) was established in 2013. Its predecessor was Hong Kong’s Dragon Film Production Co. which has independently financed more than fifty films and distributed more than two hundred films. BDF’s first production was 《The Eyes of Dawn》, a feature film about comfort women. The film was well received in the industry and by society at large. The film and the comfort woman statue inside the film have been incorporated as stand-alone displays in the Nanjing Comfort Women Exhibition Center.
